Project title: A professional study visitin the field of clinical child psychology

Short summary of the project
The purpose of this application is to provide a professional study visit from the University of Debrecen Faculty of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics Workgroup with the participation of the Norwegian Donor Partner and the National Healthcare Services Center to the University of Oslo and to an institution which deals with psychotherapeutic, pediatric psychosomatic diseases.
Our Department of Pediatrics, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics is developing. From here we would like to enrich the practical work of 10 specialists in the field of clinical child psychology. Hungarian experts could present their researches and it would be a huge possibility to compare the Norwegian and Hungarian results, as well as we can get to know the methods which are used in Norway.
Our research topics includes psychomotor development of premature babies at 2 years old in the light of chronicuterine diseases; examination of artificially inseminated children and children of abused parents; the mental health of children and their parents who suffer from inflammatory bowel disease; assessing the quality of life and adherence in the group of young people who have type 1 diabetes; finally internet and media usage in the group of asthmatic children and their parents. In this context, we are planning to carry out an international comparative study. In which we would compare the partner institution Pediatric Inventory for Parents, Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire, Juniper’s Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire and Unicef Child Deprivation Index results with the Hungarian sample.
Experts will be able to use their experiences on workshops and we would like to continue further intercultural researches with Norwegian colleagues in connection with the above themes. Due to the results obtained – articles, publications can be produced and we plan to strength the professional relationship and co-operation.
